The Student Activist Support Centre (SASC) is committed to safeguarding the human rights of student activists by providing protection, legal aid, resources, and safe spaces to continue their advocacy without fear of persecution. Through documentation, research, and international advocacy, we work to amplify student voices, ensure accountability for rights violations, and foster a global movement for the protection of student-led activism

Core Values

Inherent Dignity and Equality:

This value underscores the fundamental belief that all student activists possess equal worth and rights. It’s the bedrock upon which the SASC’s work is built, ensuring that every individual is treated with respect.

Accountability and Justice:

This value drives the SASC’s commitment to holding perpetrators of human rights violations accountable. It emphasizes the pursuit of justice through legal and policy reforms, striving to create a fair and equitable society.

Solidarity and Non-Discrimination:

The SASC values unity and mutual support among student activists. It rejects all forms of discrimination and oppression, fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels safe and valued.

Participation and Empowerment:

This value highlights the importance of student activists’ active involvement in decision-making processes. The SASC aims to empower students to exercise their rights and shape their own destinies.

Protection from Persecution:

This core value is shown in the dedication to providing safe relocation, and legal protection. This ensures that activists can continue their work without fear of recrimination.
